Interblog Memo

12 06 2010

For those of you keeping score at home, I have completed the home remodeling chores I alluded to last week.  This auspicious occasion also coincides with my 211th post, so to celebrate both, Mrs. Jelly and I are heading over to the coast north of San Francisco for three days of R & R.  I will resume my normal blogging duties on my return, including stopping by your artful blogs.

In the meantime, I will leave this blog in the watchful hands of Officer Rick or Tim or whatever the hell his name is.  Enjoy the weekend, FJ.

People

3 06 2010

I realize that I have been pretty scarce lately.  It’s no big deal, but I have been a little distracted by some minor remodeling to the house and the normal vagaries of this mortal coil.  This condition should persist for another week and then things should then return to nominal parameters.

In the meantime, I will leave you with a photo of a friend of mine.  I have been more interested of late in including more photographs of people, because people are, to me anyway, infinitely intriguing.  So, in the coming weeks I plan to steal the souls of some unsuspecting folks and present them here.  Enjoy.

Life, Still

26 05 2010

“Is it Tuesday?”

“No, dude, it’s Friday.”

“Friday?”

“Friday.”

“Oh.”

“Man, are you alright?”

“Yeah, sure, I’m fine, just kinda busy these days.”

“Busy?  Dude, the president is busy, but he still knows what day it is.”

“Right, but he has like 24 people who remind him what day it is.”

“Okay, so maybe that’s not a good example, but you know what I mean, right?”

“Uh?”
