Love it in a terrified kind of way. The colour on the eyes make them so 3D. They pop out disturbingly. Maybe they are the window to the soul, but in this case, as the cat clearly has none, I really don’t want to look too deeply into them *quickly looks away*.
Ah! The eyes have it! How did you do that? Don’t tell me! I want to believe it was really, really difficult. Like it took you hours to hand paint the eyes and get the color just right. Great image. Your choice for which of the many animals on that merry-go-round was, as usual, unusual.
Merry-go-rounds scare the shit out of me. They never did when I was a kid, but I had some late formative experiences that kind of ruined the whole thing for me.
Oh gosh, this brings back memories. I used to operate an antique carousel with a cat just like this. For a year I dreamed in loud garish fair music. Love the selective coloring

my second favorite carousel animal – behind “pete the perch”, put-in-bay, on the lake erie islands…. in fact, that might be pete in the kitties mouth!
Haha, I am afraid it is Pete.
Fabulous! Absolutely!
Why thanks Walker.
Okay hot-shot, your cat can retrieve………but will it point?
No Don, but it has heat vision.
I actually find this image disturbing somehow. The colored eyes? I don’t know. But you sure know how to take them pictures, FJ.
Hey Jen, it might be the green eyes you find disturbing or maybe its because this carousel animal is posessed by dead carnies. Thanks friend.

Thanks Kirsty, it is a bit creepy.

Thanks Tom, you have no idea how much work goes into making these unusual images…
This is absolutely creepy. Two thumbs up.
Thanks DP. HA, I never noticed your cyber name was DP for short…that works.
Whilst the moggie eyes draw one’s attention, what are the small spheroidal shapes top right? Shrunken human heads?
You’re right galloway, they do like a bit like shrunken heads, but after looking at a couple of other shots, they appear to be light bulbs.
What happened to the good old days when people rode horses. Now some stupid kid will think fluffy is strong enough to carry him around the backyard.
Haha, I am oddly okay with that.
That’s great FJ. A beautiful shot!
Many thanks Don, I appreciate that.

(I have the feeling I’ve linked to this before…)
love that creepy link CLT
All things carnival = disturbing. Thanks for the link CLT, I haven’t seen this before.
Creepy cat says stay away from the fair or I will eat you too.
See, that’s what I was thinking. Thanks Lynn.
It appears that the dog from Beware done turned into a cat and caught a fish. Good for him!
I love the color in the eyes contrasted by the black and white!
Haha, I guess its creepy animal week here at the Jelly. I’m looking at you Discovery Channel… Thanks Scott, am digging your photos.
Merry? What’s so merry about that creepy cat?!
(wonderful shot all the same!)
Thanks Ruby.
what I find most disconcerting is that I just sent a friend an email which I titled “Merry-Go-Round”… then I surfed over here…..
I have ESPN. Actually, let’s go with great minds think alike.
Cat, Cod, Creepy…Captivating!!!
(“C” what I did there?)
Cool.

Haha, sounds like a nightmare to me. Thanks Amber.
Kind of a nice twist to “Cat got your tongue?”
Great job on the eyes. Magical work.
Many thanks Dan.
I love the color on the eyes…Super shot!!
