Wow FJ, I love each and every one of these photos. The contrast of the blue and the lime green is amazing! And I’m feeling jealous of those California waters(?). There’s no really good surf here until you go around the southwestern corner towards Portugal.
Ironically I think I have the exact opposite of heliophobia and hydrophobia. It’s not a phobia but if you keep me from sun or water for too long, I turn into a pissed off gremlin.
The ex-medico in me thought that hydrophobia was synonymous with rabies, apparently not according to wiki so one point to FJ. I fancy snorkeling in the water off Maui, oh yes, now, please?
Amazing! I had no idea what heliophobia was, but my guess from your pic was fear of the sun! (I just looked it up) Obviously very well depicted! Great job!
The last photo reminds me of the first time I visited Saipan. Flights there only arrive at night, so I couldn’t see the island or ocean (it’s about 5 by 13 miles). But when I went to the cliffs the next day and looked out, I was suddenly terrified at being surrounding by water on such a small land mass.
It still amazes me that people feel secure living on small islands.
The contrast between the first two photos is stunning, FJ. Wide open to confined in less that a quarter-mouse-wheel spin. It’s like a rich/poor contrast of penthouse interiors and slum exteriors. That’s Pulitzer Prize bait.

I definitely have claustrophobia… and that’s my favourite pic
That claustrophobia pic doesn’t bother. It is when I don’t think i have control of getting out of a tight situation that I get it.
Same here, Bearman.

Gracias Scott. The water shot is actually the east coast of Maui.

Haha, I’ll take the point Dave. And yes, Maui now indeed!!!

Thanks YnB.
This is your best set ever! I love the vivid colors and all 3 paired together is great.
I appreciate the kind words DF.
Laliophobia?
Other than that, as for that water, all I will summon the courage to say is: “Here today, gone to Maui”…
Th th th thanks Prescott. Is there a fear of cliches???
Excellent photos, FJ. The colours in claustrophobia are amazing
Thanks for stopping by Mr. Mills, always great to hear from you.

That’s sounds like a cool place to visit.

Is CLT back? One can only hope. Thanks man.
I’m speechless, FJ. I don’t even have Claustrophobia, and yet looking at that photo, I can understand how someone suffering from it would feel.
You explain more with a picture than an online medical journal does with 20-some odd pages.
(Ok, so I guess I wasn’t speechless, but…well, you know.)
What a nice thing to say Ms B, thank you.
The yellow walls! Ahhhhhhhhh! Walled in with visions of Dorothy, Elton John, and bad taxi rides. You tweaked me, man. Good job — great images!
Haha, that’s funny Dan, thanks man.
Heliophobia is my favourite one of these. That mean old burning sun up there, trying to hide before the big pounce!
Yea, ready to pounce and put a melanoma on your ass!!
Those are some crazy looking buildings. What the hell is hydrophobia? The fear of living in paradise?
Haha, you’d be surprised RR how many people are scared shitless of paradise. Thanks man.
claustrophobia. hands down. but you already knew that. looks great FJ.
Thanks DP…hey DP, wow.
The second one could have been claustrophobia + heliophobia. The first one was a very good shot and caption.
Thanks Josh.
totally like the simplisity of the first two photographs!
Thanks Chloe and welcome to the Jelly, hope to see you again.
