Nice images, FJ. As a wildlife biologist, you must find that Game Stop creature interesting. Something definately going on with tentacles, and galactic clothing fashion. Those skateboards are like a well worn Fender guitar – and like a Fender, probably fit the user like a glove. Nice work.
My guess #1. Trucks and wheels are gone from skateboard decks. They are now used to shim under the wheels of the RV to level it or to keep it from rolling. Did I win?? Cool stuff.
I too was wondering about the use of the skateboards. Do so much like ad hoc solutions to things. Happy Christmas to you and your loved ones. Looking forward to your next post.
Fundamental Jelly is operated, for no apparent reason and to no useful purpose, by Robert J from a small home office in Northern California. Robert J is a wildlife biologist and once witnessed a clown pick up dog poop with a spoon.

Was that second pic a window display. Boy someone was lazy.
Well it was on display.
That is unless they were selling folding chairs. In which case it might be perfect.

Thanks Dan.
Nice!
I love these types of shots, FJ. You have a way of making the banal seem interesting.
PS. I know I’m somewhat biased (being a condiment aficionado and all), but your banner photo kicks-ass something fierce.
Thanks B, glad you enjoyed them.
Interesting shots. Are those beat-up skateboards in #1?
They are indeed YnB, thanks.

You may actually be right, I hadn’t thought about what they used them for but that seems logical. Thanks T.
So ironic, ’cause I just rode my ‘board to Gamestop tonight to pick up ‘Fundamentaljelly Rise of the Camera’ on PS3.
Awesome game it is at that, thanks RR.
Is that your reflection in the window of Game Stop?
I shot it from the side, so no, its not me, but is does look like a person now that you mention it.
Ah. Finally an answer to the question: “What will this year’s crossing guard be wearing?”
We certainly don’t need a Fashion Emergency in our crosswalks, that’s for sure. Happy holidays CLT and thanks.
Are those air traffic controllers sitting in the ‘ass’ of that mannequin?
Yes.

Thanks SE and Happy Holidays to you as well.
Merry Christmas FJ! To all of the Family!
I really, really love these. Something about that window calls to me. The reflections, the colors – it’s all marvelous.
But I confess I’m a little sad to see those boards cut in half, though they look like they were seriously loved for a long time. Keep ‘em coming, FJ.
Thanks BK, great to hear from you.
