Moby Dick, Madame Bovary, On the Road? Holy crap, you are either really smart or do the thing that I do of putting sleeves from famous books over my Stephen King, Dan Brown, and Glen Beck collection. (Not to mention the entire Penthouse Forum collection for the last 30 years).
As well as being creepy spooky lovely nice and a cat-person, I am a bibliophile and an avid reader. Excellent selection of excellent books, though I’ve not read them all. The Great Gatsby, The Bridge of San Luis Rey, and The Lord of the Flies are among my all time favourites. I found On the Road immensely irritating.
I love your house FJ! I do miss having a nice, decorated home. This house that we’re currently living in/fixing up was ruins only 5 years ago. Also I’m so envious of your book collection; you have 3 or 4 of the best books of all time just in that one shot alone. You are a lucky guy!
Images remind me of when the camera fires accidentally or the first shot on the roll of film when winding. Only you FJ could make that look cool cause I know these are deliberate. May not sound like it but this is a compliment. I think you are hiding your series of Twilight books!
Thanks T, I take it as a compliment. No Twilight books as yet, but we do have all the Harry Potter books somewhere. They have been read by other members of the family, but I can’t stand the little bastard.
That’s a very shy plant you have in the first picture. Did you catch it coming out of the shower or before it had it’s “face” on? Or does it just kind of hide out from your constant photography, like the daughter on the Osbournes that we never saw?
I’m blown away by the mirror picture. It’s dare I say, magic? I’d ask, but I know a magician never reveals his secrets, unless prompted to do so by television executives.
Those books relax me . . . I want to hide away now. We have the same books, but not on the shelves. I’m afraid there is an entire library packed away in boxes. Every room should have a library or library section. Your color choices remind me of a geat sculpure artist in RI, Paul Chouquette. He used to use those colors in wall art. I sold him a huge Buick Electra once; he planted grass on the roof and painted a mural of a bird on the hood. Cool guy. RI was great. Thanks, FJ!
Fundamental Jelly is operated, for no apparent reason and to no useful purpose, by Robert J from a small home office in Northern California. Robert J is a wildlife biologist and once witnessed a clown pick up dog poop with a spoon.

As always, I am so enjoying your view of the world, FJ…
I always see the same old thing not only again, but differently when I travel with you around in the cyberworld.
Thank you, FJ.
Hey Prescott, great to hear from you. I consider it high praise indeed coming from you. Happy holidays my brother.
More frontal please! Otherwise, very nice FJ!
Its a PG-13 blog, so no naughty bits or the word fuck. Thanks V.
LOL!
It might only be a peek, but these photos speak volumes!
Cool!
I too, love seeing the world through your eyes, FJ.
(ps. Don’t tell me how the Marquez book ends, I’m reading it right now.)
I promise.
Are you expecting dinner company? Why is there a table cloth on the table??
Actually we had company a couple of days prior. Not much gets by you Bear, thanks for stopping by.
hahahaha i can just hear you saying “I promise.”
I knew you would get a chuckle out of that. Hahaha
……gary?
well done.
Thanks Angie, happy holidays to you guys from us.

Its not like I actually read the stuff TL, I don’t want to lose my street cred as a real man ya know…how ’bout those Colts??
Fake covers? splendid idea! Where can I buy them?
Maybe we could market them!!
Numbers 4 and 5 are particularly pleasing to my eye. I think in some ways you and I have a similar visual aesthetic.
I think we do too. My simple philosophy regarding photography is this: I am curious how the things I am seeing look when photographed.

On the Road was boring, I couldn’t finish it.
Amen. I really, really tried but…nothing.
Love the colors and the perspectives on rooms!
Thanks DF.
Apparently, the eye for detail and design runs in your family. Thanks for the peek inside FJ!
Thanks Claire, great to hear from you…Happy Holidays.

Thanks Scott, I have way too many books, but I can’t help myself.
I love the greens… and Madame Bovary is in my top five favourite books of all time
True, its a great read, thanks NM.

I think BKT said it recently, “if Harry Potter does magic, why does he have to wear glasses?” Brilliant!

The plant was in fact naked and frankly mortified. Thanks CLT, always great to get your perspective.
I love the angles and color of #4. And also the mirror shot. The more I look at it, the more shapes, textures and colors I see.
That’s my fav too PV, thanks for stopping by.
I’m blown away by the mirror picture. It’s dare I say, magic? I’d ask, but I know a magician never reveals his secrets, unless prompted to do so by television executives.
Its all smoke and mirrors RR, thanks man.

Paul sounds like a cool guy indeed. Good to hear from you Dan.
