City Nocturne

11 09 2009

This will probably be the last post for a week or two as I am in the process of replacing my old computer.  I also apologise for not be able to comment on all of your blogs for the time being, I’ll get caught-up when I am back on-line.

I shot these photographs while driving around late one night last week.  They’re abstract and atmospheric, but I liked the feel of them.  As always, over thinking and the building of elaborate back stories is encouraged.  Thanks, good night.

Just a quick note to let you all know that my home computer is in the process of croaking and I may be off-line for a little while.  I am seriously considering upgrading, so bear with me…thanks, FJ.  Oh, and here is the only photo of mine that I had on my work computer (sshhhhh).

The Prosaic Camera

5 09 2009

I thought about posting the usual Photo Friday pics yesterday and decided it was becoming somewhat redundant.  Because I have been gone so much over the last two months, this platform has become more photo centric and it seemed silly to post several photos during the week and still have a Photo Friday.

So in its place I plan to run several re-occurring themes with The Prosaic Camera being the first.  The Prosaic Camera will be a series of photo couplets, a sort of photoblog diptych.  I also plan to do some more fictional writing and possibly an essay on my photographic philosophy.

Relationship Stories (Brandi and Alex)

1 09 2009

House3

Brandi and Alex met at a party populated by some old high school friends and some people neither of them knew.  Alex thought Brandi was pretty hot.  Brandi was on her period when they met.

Brandi

Brandi was studying sign language at the local community college.  She recently was fired from her part-time job at Panda Express for excessive tardiness.  Her parents shut off Brandi’s cell phone because of her poor grades in school.  Her dad said, “I don’t know what the big deal is, we did just fine without cell phones when I was a kid.”

Mice

Alex said he was taking the semester off from the same community college.  He was working part-time for a landscaper and was also a Level 80 Paladin.  Alex paid for his own cell phone and he allowed Brandi to text her friends on it.
