Pondering their next move, if I’m not mistaken… Thanks for the shout-out, FJ.
I googled American Gothic and instead was treated to some good old American murder and child endangerment, thanks to Sam Raimi, Gary Cole and Lucas Black. Really nothing to do with the picture, but a great series nonetheless.
All of these great shadows are cracking me up. The whole back cover of one of my books is a big shadow like that. My daughter took the picture of her own shadow when she was five.
Very cool FJ!! Scary too; I never did care for the couple in that painting, they have too much of a Children of the Corn type feel. BG was right, I’m sure King would bite!
Scott, that’s exactly what I think when I see that painting as well…..total “Children of the Corn” look to it. You just know they have dead people in their basement.
If I didn’t know better, I’d say that was a pickpocket about to go down… wait, I guess I don’t know any better. Were you robbed? By your wife? A mystery lady from Cabanolazga?

great shadows – what does the title relate to? am i missing something obvious?
Yes, I think so, Google Grant Wood.
thanks – I did.
Those are some big boy pants there!!
I still wear a bib though.
That light – it makes me think early morning, low humidity. It’s a lovely light. And you two make a cute couple, even without the pitch forks.
Thanks BK.
Great title… which one is you? hehehehe
Looks like a couple of Sexy Robots having a nice day!
Tim Burton’s variation. And it makes me think it’d be fun for us to come up with captions for your photos.
Beautiful work, FJ.
Sweats, you’re alive. Thanks for the kind words.
Pantaloons!!!!

Of course there’s a next move, right? Good to see you CLT.
Wonderfully apt title and a great photo, FJ.
Thanks Don, good to hear from you as always.
Looks like the book cover pic of Stephen King’s next novel.
Has King written a novel about shopping? I agree it would be scary.
Every one of his books is about shopping, from buying a dog, to going on a vacation, to getting a plot for your dog.

Its all shadows all the time.

How did I miss this yesterday?? Anyhoo….this one immediately made me think of one Mr. YnB took of himself on green grass….the monster lurks within……
Umm. Thanks for stopping by YnB.
I agree with Mr. Mills, (again) a fabulous title and a very impressive photograph. Fabulous.
You always agree with Mr. Mills, but then again so do I. Good to see you Alan here at F Jelly (where we’re merkin free for five days now…opps).
