Pen and Ink on Colored Paper - 2009
Verbiage. Words. Complete sentences. I don’t have time to form them in cohesive chunks at this juncture. The vagaries of career and family leave little time for this right now. But this to shall pass on or about July 15th. So for now, I am including another photo and a jpeg of a drawing I completed last year.

Carmel Mission - 2009

“Blue Box” - mixed media on panel 18″ x 18″ - 2008

“stalin” “swedish bedsheets” “fuck my wife”
What is this… a romance novel?
I hope not.
“priceless”
I love the ‘Pen and Ink on Colored Paper!’ I’m loving it all! Cool.
Thanks Scott.
truly, agree w/ bmc.. got some stuff churning in that head. THe painting is wonderful… thanks for sharing that. You are quite a diverse bowl of jelly…..
I am indeed a bowl of jelly df, thanks for the kind words.
Great photo, great drawing, and a great poem. You’re a triple threat.
(Hope you don’t mind, I did a rewrite on your verbiage poem… Yeah, I know, “Write your own damn blog, Alan.” But I was inspired… Damn rewriting bloggers.)
The Catholic Gym was everything I imagined.
It was filled with Swedish bed sheets that I held in my hand
While swatting the freakish weather
In hopes that Stalin’s pathologist would get her act together
The problem was her abusive boyfriend
He was a curiously shaped hole
Who kept trying to fuck my wife
With his gleaming ray
That you managed to make sense out of a stream-of-consciousness set of unrelated lines is, well, just wonderful. You never cease to amaze me.
Al, true genius…
It wouldn’t have happened had it not been for our pal, Fundamental Jelly. The dude is a fucking inspiration, I tells ya.
what a triple play!
I think my husband is getting jealous of you and Alan. I better watch myself, since I’m pretty sure that wordy thing is about me. “Catholic gym,” “Swedish bedsheets,” “abusive boyfriend.” It all fits.
I’m astounded at your versatility. The photo is lovely, as usual, and the art is really beautiful. I love the colors. Makes me want to break out my paints again.
P.S. Tell that dog-headed fellow that’s standing right beside me that I’m astounded by him as well.
Ha!
Yup. Right beside you. I guess I’ll have to save my “sigh” for another day.
FJ, I keep coming back today and looking at your art, photo and writing. Killer stuff! I think spending time in the wild is good for you! Cheers! Alan, love the poem.
timm,
Thanks. FJ deserves all the credit.
Still loving your art.
And happy for you about the vagaries of career and family.
Thanks PV, really.
Its all been said so well already. It would draw poetry from me but Alan beat me to it.
“The weather was freakishly w…”
What??? What was the weather freakishly doing??? Walking? Waddling? Wanking?
You’re killing me here.
Knowing me (and I think I do), I’ll be up all night wondering exactly how the climate was getting its freak on.
Looks like its gonna be a crappy Canada Day for me.
Warm
I wish I would have read this yesterday.
WOW! that mission picture is wonderful!
i hope theres plenty more later on down the track!
Bob
Whenever I see guys like you and Timm showing your creative sides, it dawns on me — Grandpa’s gene must’ve done a wide end around when I was born.
The handwriting reminds me of angry “Leroy” or perhaps an architect on meth.
